He is a man who proves that the gap between the two races, black and white, has been bridged. After his inauguration, all the people embraced each other and the pain of discrimination is no longer painful. With his faith, he promises that he is going to make the world a better place. Since his success, we all have realized that no conflicts cannot be solved. This four years, maybe eight, may offer an new angle to value ourselves.

He was born in a royal family, but some critics said that he was a bastard of a rich merchant. After he united the whole country through civil wars, he called himself the First Emperor in history. He was afraid of death, so he studied how to become immortal all the time. Moreover, he found a lot of cruel and strict methods to force all citizens to obey his government. Although he brought his tyranny to his country, he still became a successful statesman and strategist.

He was the man who liked to chat with his fellow citizens or foreigners with fine manners and politeness. He discussed some serious and essential topics and issues about life through conversations with them logically and friendly, trying to clarify and find out the truths which generally confused people and denied understanding. By his logical method, conversations with anyone who is well-minded and sober, he pointed out that whether a statement is true or not does not depend on the agreement of the majority or the authority, nor should it be judged by social customs practiced over a long period of time; it should depend on logical reasoning. Unfortunately and ironically, he was convicted to death by the citizens, accusing him of failing to worship the city’s gods, corrupting the social fabric and turning young men against their fathers; however, he died bravely and elegantly with his friends and students around, bursting into tears and feeling bereaved deeply.

Though he may not be as handsome as Johnny Depp, nor is his voice as resonant as Domingo’s, he is still my hero. Unlike Superman or Spiderman, who wear tights all the time, thick helmet-like haircut, huge black-rimmed glasses and shorts are my hero’s distinctive features. When I listen to his songs, with the perfectly-harmonizing guitar and singing, I can feel a breeze of fresh air, cozy and refreshing, while sometimes I find myself can't help jumping and dancing to the beat like popcorns in the microwave. Every time when he performs, he always gets carried away, and often bends himself into a bizarre position, nodding his head so hard to the point as if his neck were going to break in any minute, which makes him more like a physically disabled person than a singer. However, not only his lyrics but also his talking is extremely intriguing, and therefore except the time when he is singing, the audience is laughing all along.

My hero is a contemporary writer whose writings can be divided into two types. One shows her critical analysis on society and politics, and receives an enthusiastic response from the public. The other, through the description of her parent-child interaction in life, even the letters exchanged between her and her elder son, represents her attentive focus on managing family relation. For her good balance between career and family role, I take her as my hero.

ReplyDeleteHe is one of the most influential composers and pianists in the world. He had a drunken father who forced him to practice the piano all the time. Because of an illness in his early age, his hearing began to deteriorate. Unfortunately, he ended up being a deaf musician. Though he suffered from such a serious disease, he still created quite a few phenomenal sonatas in his old age. In addition, based on his surviving portrait, he seems to have keen eyes which are likely to read into people's souls.

My hero is a singer who becomes famous in recent years by using her talent in music and creativity in fashion. One might have seen her eye-catching fashion style like her telephone headdress or her beef curtain outfit on TV even though he/she has no interest in her. Although some people might think she is just a crazy woman who always tries to stun the crowd with her peculiar clothing, she doesn't care about what others think of her at all for she clearly knows who she is. Despite facing a lot of negative remarks, she still chooses to be true to herself and keeps bringing more surprise and joy to those who love her. It is such an attitude of hers that makes me admire her.

ReplyDeleteShe’s a woman who creates a world of fantasy which captivates me when I was a little girl. Actually, not only me but everyone in the world is immersed in her overwhelming spell. With her magic pen, she can make real something impossible and revive a barren land. She is an author who uses her rich imagination to take over the world.

ReplyDeleteShe is such an amazing woman who ruled most part of the world. Even though she was born into a time of male dominance, she still impressed the whole world with her intelligence and bravery. Instead of cringing from war, she protected her country from all the dangers for a long time. The plumpness of her body figure makes her look more noble and mighty. Her majestic appearance gives her a look of confidence that i want to acquire from her.

ReplyDeleteSlavery is contemptible. How can human beings treat their own kind worse than the way they treat animals. My hero abolished slavery and gave African-American the right they deserve. I admire him, for what he had done to contribute to humanity, and I believe so do millions of people around the world. My hero wrote down a great part of history that will be remembered not only by the people of his time but also by posterity. He is not only my hero, but a hero to all the people around the world, especially to African-Americans.

ReplyDeleteEdgy and controversial, this shaven-headed guy is one of the most famous contemporary movie directors. Sex and loneliness in modern cities are the common motifs among his works. The gloomy hue, super long takes, few dialogues and plain stories make his works highly identifiable. Despite the fact that he always fails to achieve high box office record, he often wins movie awards, including the Golden Lion, the highest honor, at Venice Film Festival.
