The other day, I happened to come across on the Internet a song, Friday by Rebecca Black about her Friday, and I loathe it. Unexpectedly, she uses the straightforward and plain sentences rather than expressing her feeling with a great deal of creative or even beautiful words. The lyrics are extremely tedious since she describes what she did on Friday such as eating cereal and choosing which seat she should take. Even though some songs lay out the story with simple words, those songs can still be meaningful deep down. A song writer or an artist should not create a song or a piece of work like this.
I hate Rebecca Black’s “Friday” very much. Boring and ridiculous could be the best description of this song. The lyric of “Friday” is so boring for it merely records a girl's daily routine ---- including the exact time she gets up, the food she has for breakfast, and even the seats her friends take in the car. Apart from these trifles, the lyric of Friday is really ridiculous and stupid for it repeats the word “Friday” so many times, and there is a line from the lyric which even says “yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday… Tomorrow is Saturday, and Sunday comes afterwards.” For these reasons, I believe you could feel the same way for Rebecca Black’s “Friday” as I do.
The Lyric is incongruous with its song title” Pray for You” that refers to wish for lovers. Nevertheless, it sometimes reminds those who break up with their lovers of the happy feelings they once had. To make it worse, this song is always played on the CD player over and over again in my room when my friend breaks up with her boyfriend. According to my friend, it is a better way for people to soothe pain while falling out of love than any other ways. However, it is a total nightmare to me at midnight.
“Baby, baby, baby, oh. I thought you’d always be mine.” This song has been haunting me for a long time after I watched it on Youtube. I hate those adolescents who think themselves are already mature, especially those who pretend they are. Maybe, the lyrics itself is not quite contemptible; actually, why I hate about this song is not the lyric but the singer. Every time I hear it, I immediately shut down the radio in order to avoid the unpleasant feeling it gives me.
The lyric of Moon Walk(月球漫步) from the Taiwanese pop group, JPM, really makes no sense at all. For example, there are some lines like "你還吃糖果,這真的很old school。我喜歡用電腦,你還喜歡看書。","我把你MP三變成我的3D,我自己的空間,加了一位毛弟." The lyric might confuse the listeners a lot and make they feel that they are only listening to a series of words that rhyme, instead of a real lyric. That is, its meaningless content spoils the entire song. Lyrics should be more meaningful lest they not only fail to match the quality of the melody they are wrought into but also gradually ruin the whole music industry in Taiwan.
This song is sung by a Taiwanese female singer, and I do not like it very much. First, it only deals with boring love affairs between young couples, and there is nothing serious or meaningful totally in this popular song but stupid and disgusting sentences instead. Then what makes me feel miserable about this song is that it declares that the ambiguous relationship before the real being-together period between a couple is painful and unbearable; I can not accept this point at all. It should be a pleasurable and enjoyable process of knowing the opposite sex more deeply right before people go steady, and the real situation should be like that people always feel excited and refreshed while trying a new product or game for the first time before liking it. This song is not only extremely superficial but also spreads the wrong concept about love. It is why I hate about it.
Great lyrics wrought in touching melody bring a song to life. Lyrics should be meaningful rather than rude or impolite by using bad language. Lyricists compress their thoughts and experiences into one song in the form of lyrics. Therefore, lyrics are regarded as a condensed language. Based on that viewpoint, lyrics lacking any emotion, thought or experience of life or even in bad language are disgusting.

People become sentimental in the midnight especially when they can hardly fall asleep. Because I want to sleep away the depression, I distract myself by listening to the songs on my iPod Shuffle. However, when I hear the bluesy voice, “I need some sleep. It can’t go on like this. I tried counting sheep. But there’s one I always miss”, I feel annoyed. I found that I was cheated by this song and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Detestable lyrics for me are meaningless words that repeat themselves. words. Listeners can not make sense of pointless groans like “Wo~wo~wo~”in many ballads. Those annoying words might be a lyric writer’s improvisation; however, for listeners, that is simply nonsense. If lyric writers want listeners to get a better understanding of their works, they have to have a better choice of word.
Lyrics can make a powerful effect on the listeners, hence it should be written carefully. Take for example, the lyric of the song Crazy World. This lyric describes the idea of flying and fleeing from the world. Although the melody is lighthearted, the lyric seems to encourage suicide committed by jumping from heights and leave behind all sorrow to the world. Once the lyric is heard by a heartbroken person, the result is quite predictable. Therefore, the lyric of this song is detestable.

What the lyric says is the repetitive sequence of daily routine, which tells of nothing meaningful. They tell nothing but what time the singer gets up and doesn't really make sense. Hearing or reading that kind of lyric really bores me and rouses me to hate for it. It is the last think I like in the world.

Nicky once The Lyric I Hate Guo Shu Yao's " Love Hug Hug" has the most terrible lyric in the world. The song is about a girl who has a crush on someone. However, the girl seems to be crazy and keeps saying silly words to express her crush. The content of the lyric contains superficial and exaggerated love. In addition, the song also uses baby talk, imitating the sound made by a baby. Then it repeats itself again and again, which drives me crazy.
The song, “Baby”, by the young American singer, Justin Bieber, has the worst lyric in the history of pop music. From the beginning to the end of the cliché lyric, one will see nothing but a childish, unreasonable and narcissistic protagonist reading too much into every trifling thing the girl he’s obsessed with does. Simply reading them will rouse one to fury as to feel like smashing the computer screen which shows its lyric. Nevertheless, a couple of months ago when this song was still a big hit, it was played again and again on every radio, TV channel and in any form of broadcasting conceivable, tormenting people all over the world with its meaningless lyric. It’s completely incomprehensible how a song with such inane lyric can win the hearts of the teenage girls worldwide.
